I’m a Lucky Gal

Today Creighton was having a pretty rough day. His Mom forgot to put his Miracle Blanket in his diaper bag. Naps don’t go well without his Miracle Blanket.

But, because I work in the best environment EVER, we were able to navigate through naptime this way:

I just brought my laptop downstairs and worked while he slept. I could hear my girls giggling and having a good time down the hall.

It just doesn’t get any better than that.

Rock Band Anyone?

Most of you have seen these…but for those that haven’t.

Last week was part 2 of our series “I Want To Be Great”.  It was the perfect opportunity to give some people who are normally behind the scenes a chance to BE GREAT.

Before they played someone came out and explained a little about the game and how it all ties in to our series and then these guys launched into the song. Here was the line up.

Vocals – Heath (Fee Bass Player)

Guitar – Andrew Stowe(Production Volunteer)

Bass – Jack Lindsay (4th Grader)

Drums – Kaye Woods (Video/Lighting Assistant)

Ladies and Gentlemen

For those of y’all who don’t know what it is that Josh and I do for a living, here’s a little example. Josh made the video you see on the screens and directs the camera shots, and I am a producer.

This is why we do what we do, and why we love it.

Work Changes

For those of you who do not know, Josh and I both work at Buckhead Church, and we both love our jobs. Our work environment is almost surreal because we have so many amazing people that are sooo talented around us everyday. The sad news is: my boss/friend is leaving. She’s going to stay at home with her son, and that’s really cool, but I’m going to miss her like crazy. I’ll still get to see her all the time, though.

The good news is: my new boss is really cool. If I have ever fancied myself a cool person (and I’m pretty sure using the phrase “fancied myself” relieves me of that title) then it was only because I hadn’t met anyone this “cool” yet. He’ll be on LA Ink sometime in the Fall, so you can look for him. His wife sounds pretty cool too, former snowboard instructor, licensed chef and drop-dead gorgeous.

Hopefully I’ll get a little cooler just by knowing them–osmosis maybe.
