The Princess & The Dragon

We were bored one weekend and I decided to take my kids on a ride through the entire production process. They wrote the script themselves.  We shot the footage on a blue wall in their bedroom, recorded a voice over and added special effects.  They got to see the entire production process on a small scale.  It was a lot of fun… it looks like there might be a sequel. Enjoy!

Away In A Manger

The girls performed “Away In A Manger” at the Christmas Eve service at Whitley Memorial United Methodist Church, with their Poppy.  Honestly I was worried during the rehearsal the day before, since they didn’t know the lyrics… but they are true professionals and they turned it on the night of the service.  They were awesome!

“Rags”

Charlotte’s dramatic re-telling of the Cinderella story… through song.  Enjoy!

Charlotte V.S. The Lemon

Charlotte begged me to let her try a lemon for the first time. This is what happened…

Disney Highlights

On this trip, we did the most we have ever done in one day in The Magic Kingdom.

This is what we did in the 11 hours that we were there…
It’s a Small World After All
Snow White’s Scary Adventure
Peter Pan
Pirates of the Caribbean
Road the train around the park
Played in Toon Town
Tea Cups
Buzz Light Year’s Range Spin
Haunted Mansion
Country Bear Jamboree
Aladdin’s Flying Carpets
The Tiki Room
Jungle Cruise
Spectra Magic Parade

If you’ve ever been to Disney you know that’s a lot. Our girls hung in there like champs.
We couldn’t capture it all so here’s a highlight reel…

The Christmas Story

The Waumba Weekday teachers did a great job planning the Christmas Program this year.  Here is one of the videos from the program.  It’s the Christmas Story told by all the weekday kids, and it’s a personal favorite.  Enjoy!

Frisbee Golf With Dad

Three things first :

1. I used to play under par in college (I had free time) and Olivia has great form.

2. Charlotte has the most amazing victory dance.

3. Notice the patch of red paint. That will soon be the color of our house… along with white trim.

Blast from the past.

Let’s settle it once and for all. Which one of our kids looks the most like me… and most like Katie.

This was from our rehearsal dinner. Take a look and try not to make fun of me for my middle school pictures. :)

Okay Chris…

I’ve been busy geez… here’s your post.  So last week I was in a wedding in North Carolina. It just so happened that they had a full band at the reception… and it just so happened that all of the members of my old band were in attendance (and our manager who negotiated the terms of our impromptu performance).

Side note: our drummer was getting married AND it had been three years since we played together.

Here is quick highlight of us doing one of our original songs… it was fun. Just like old times, except without all of the practicing, sound checking and late nights.

In case you were wondering. That is apple juice that Chance, our singer, is drinking. ;)

Tummy Talk

Charlotte has started talking to the baby through Katie’s stomach.  I didn’t have the heart to tell her that the baby can’t understand what she’s saying.  :)    This one is short but cute.

Rock Band Anyone?

Most of you have seen these…but for those that haven’t.

Last week was part 2 of our series “I Want To Be Great”.  It was the perfect opportunity to give some people who are normally behind the scenes a chance to BE GREAT.

Before they played someone came out and explained a little about the game and how it all ties in to our series and then these guys launched into the song. Here was the line up.

Vocals – Heath (Fee Bass Player)

Guitar – Andrew Stowe(Production Volunteer)

Bass – Jack Lindsay (4th Grader)

Drums – Kaye Woods (Video/Lighting Assistant)

“A little more Jesus…

a sleep on the hay.”

That’s my favorite line from “Away in a manger” sung by Olivia Peters. Enjoy these new Christmas duets by our girls.

Ladies and Gentlemen

For those of y’all who don’t know what it is that Josh and I do for a living, here’s a little example. Josh made the video you see on the screens and directs the camera shots, and I am a producer.

This is why we do what we do, and why we love it.
