Meet Lincoln

Guess we have a little catching up to do…..

Halloween and Other Stuff

Just a few recent photos..

Magic 3-Month Milestone

When you’re pregnant (at least when I was pregnant), there is a sudden end to morning sickness and fatigue right at the 3-month mark.

When you have an infant (at least with my infants), there is a sudden end to unexplainable fussiness.

Look at this face:

That is magic. That is all smiles and cuddles and sweet baby sounds.

I am putty in those tiny little hands.

But it’s not the first time, all three of them did it to me.

I love 3-month-olds!

I’m a Lucky Gal

Today Creighton was having a pretty rough day. His Mom forgot to put his Miracle Blanket in his diaper bag. Naps don’t go well without his Miracle Blanket.

But, because I work in the best environment EVER, we were able to navigate through naptime this way:

I just brought my laptop downstairs and worked while he slept. I could hear my girls giggling and having a good time down the hall.

It just doesn’t get any better than that.

All Quiet on the Home Front

Well, we survived yesterday. There were some tense moments, but the girls got a nice lesson in delayed gratification. There may or may not have been an ice cream bribe involved. All in all, I think I can do this.

Today is pretty quiet. We’re just haning out and I’m trying to the the house clean (translation: everything shoved into closets) before small group comes over tonight.

Here’s a few pics of the boy:

Only 5 hours until the rest of the clan joins us.

The First Day Of The Rest Of My Life

Today is my first solo day as a mom of three. The houseguests are all gone and the girls are home from preschool.

I’m only on my second batch of coffee, and so far, we’re doing okay. No injuries. No Joan Crawford moments.

Tummy Time is a hit.

Charlotte is in her own little world as usual. She’s “teaching letters to her Pollys” right now.

Only 7 hours until Daddy gets home.

Frisbee Golf With Dad

Three things first :

1. I used to play under par in college (I had free time) and Olivia has great form.

2. Charlotte has the most amazing victory dance.

3. Notice the patch of red paint. That will soon be the color of our house… along with white trim.

This is what happens…..

when you say “No” to a two year-old.

Oh, the drama! Is it bedtime yet?

Potty Princess

Potty training makes me crazy. It makes me even crazier that she wants to wear this dress while doing it and prefers to be called “Giselle” instead of Charlotte (from the movie Enchanted).

But look how cute she is:

How can I get mad at that sweet little thing?

And, for the record, we are kicking some serious potty training behind today.

I hope I didn’t just jinx it.

A Blue Day

I go back and forth between whether I think that this is a boy baby or a girl baby. I’ve decided that, at this point, it’s a Win-Win situation. I don’t have a boy yet so that would be really cool, but there is also something special about having three-of-a-kind. We’ll be thrilled at either outcome, but….today is a Blue Day.

Today I want a little boy. Mainly because of something I read over at my friend Heather’s blog:

“When you have a boy, you have to worry about one boy on the planet. When you have a girl, you have to worry about every boy on the planet.”
