Life is busy! So in a nutshell:

We finally took a pic of the new paint on the house.

The girls got pony rides at Fall at the Farm.

Josh ran The Big Pumpkin 5K.

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun. Cooked my first turkey. Auntcy and Christopher (hopefully Uncle Christopher soon, hint hint) came to visit.

Creighton got his first tooth with another coming in, but Olivia still hasn’t lost her wobbly one.

Charlotte is still a walking improv skit.

Looking forward to a slower end of the year!

A Sunday Snapshot

Enjoy this shot.  It’s rare but it happens from time to time.  No one’s screaming.  No one’s crying.  We are all smiles.  I enjoy the Sundays that I work the 6pm.  This is the easy shift… cartoons, milk, juice, naps.

Katie gets the tough shift today.  A full work day startig at 4:30am, after nap crankiness, then dinner and bed time… whooo.  Love ya babe!

I’m a Lucky Gal

Today Creighton was having a pretty rough day. His Mom forgot to put his Miracle Blanket in his diaper bag. Naps don’t go well without his Miracle Blanket.

But, because I work in the best environment EVER, we were able to navigate through naptime this way:

I just brought my laptop downstairs and worked while he slept. I could hear my girls giggling and having a good time down the hall.

It just doesn’t get any better than that.

Told ya.

Quit Your Whining!

That’s actually for me, not my kids.

I had plans to blog about my overwhelming week last week. I took pictures of the 84,000 items we have to load up every morning, and I was going to whine.

But then I thought about it.  I have way more reasons to be grateful than I do to complain.

• I have three beautiful, healthy children.
• The third one is a boy (A BOY!).
• I have a hot hubby that does more than his share around the house and even takes a late night feeding.
• I have an awesome job, and an awesome boss.
• I take the hot hubby and beautiful kids to work with me.
• We have the most amazing support system of friends and family.
• We have a roof over our head and three meals a day.
• This list could actually go on forever.
**Considering myself scolded.**
Here’s a picture to make this post pretty 🙂

My Girls

Today was a long day. This week has been along week.

But that will be a different post. Today my girls made me smile.

Watching my girls cuddle on the couch today has been the highlight of my day.

It doesn’t get any sweeter than that.

Finally caught one

He’s been treating us to smiles for a while now, but they are just so hard to catch on camera.

I got one today.

All Quiet on the Home Front

Well, we survived yesterday. There were some tense moments, but the girls got a nice lesson in delayed gratification. There may or may not have been an ice cream bribe involved. All in all, I think I can do this.

Today is pretty quiet. We’re just haning out and I’m trying to the the house clean (translation: everything shoved into closets) before small group comes over tonight.

Here’s a few pics of the boy:

Only 5 hours until the rest of the clan joins us.

The First Day Of The Rest Of My Life

Today is my first solo day as a mom of three. The houseguests are all gone and the girls are home from preschool.

I’m only on my second batch of coffee, and so far, we’re doing okay. No injuries. No Joan Crawford moments.

Tummy Time is a hit.

Charlotte is in her own little world as usual. She’s “teaching letters to her Pollys” right now.

Only 7 hours until Daddy gets home.

Seen better days

So, the Doc came in this morning and said that the nurse from last night was wrong. I am not 4 cm, I am somewhere between 2-3 cm. She asked the nurse to stop the Pitocin that had already been flowing for half an hour.

Now I am home. Waiting. Again.
