Creighton Update
It’s been a rough day. Creighton’s nasal passages are swollen so badly that they took him down to NICU for the night. He has had a hard time eating today because he can’t breathe through his nose. We were pretty scared when they took him until we went down and saw him beside all of the other really sick babies and we remembered that he is in one of the best NICUs in the country. He is definitely in the right place. He is just being monitored for now and is breathing fine (albeit labored) on his own. They will release him when he is able to eat from bottle or nurse on his own. We appreciate everyone’s prayers for quick recovery and we’ll update everyone as soon as we hear something.
Here’s a sweet picture from this afternoon when Creighton was having some Mommy time. He’s a great cuddle.
Taking visitors but…
we have had a lot of folks ask if they could come by and visit. Thank You! We totally appreciate everyone’s excitement but we aren’t sure how to fit everyone in here.
So, here are a few things to consider before stopping by.
1. We prefer no kids… mostly because of germs. If your kids are healthy and calm
your probably fine. Our kids will be here between 2-4 so things could get hectic.
2. Call before you come. Katie is breast feeding and we want to keep this G-Rated.
3. If you work with us and want to come by, see if anyone else is planning on coming and group together. That will help .
4. If you want to come during the day cool…but night visits would be best. Things will be chill by then.
Thanks for all your prayers and awesome comments.

Tomorrow.
The baby will be here tomorrow!!! Woo Hoo! At my appointment, the doctor told me that she was no longer comfortable with me walking around at such an advanced stage of dilation during my third pregnancy. Soooo, they are inducing me tomorrow. Basically, they’ll start calling those of us being scheduled tomorrow somewhere around 5:30 -6:00 a.m. and we’ll just get in the car and go get us a baby.
Stay tuned.
Weekend Sprinkling
The girls had a blast in the sprinkler this weekend. That’s the best $1.50 I’ve ever spent.
Seen better days
So, the Doc came in this morning and said that the nurse from last night was wrong. I am not 4 cm, I am somewhere between 2-3 cm. She asked the nurse to stop the Pitocin that had already been flowing for half an hour.
Now I am home. Waiting. Again.
Doom.
The doctor just told me that they won’t induce until the 5th of August.
That was not what I wanted to hear.
Eviction Notice
Although the baby could show up at anytime now, there is an official end to the insanity in view. This morning the Doc told me that an induction would be scheduled for Wednesday, July 30. Both of the girls showed up before their inductions happened, so we’re hoping for the same thing this time. There just has to be a plan in place for them to rebel against it. Apples don’t fall that far from this tree
16 Days.
I can live through 16 more days.

I know everyone thinks that their kid is a genius but seriously. My four year old made this by herself. I’m proud.
Side note: It’s a butterfly
Seven Years
Seven years ago today, Josh and I tied the knot. It’s been a busy seven years and a wonderful seven years. We’ve moved 6 times, had 7 different jobs between the two of us, become parents of (nearly) 3 children, bought our first house and started driving a minivan.
It is safe to say that we have been domesticated.
Thanks for making me a happily married woman, babe.
I love you.
