At Home

Life at home has gotten pretty good, pretty quick.

I feel like I’ve got my house under control (relatively speaking, of course–I am still me) and the kids are used to having a one-woman-audience and only one room of toys.

I am looking forward to all of the “Ups” that come along with being at home with kids and I feel prepared for all of the “Downs”.

The days are long, but the years are short!

I’m grateful for this opportunity.

Thanks for working so hard for us, Josh!

“The days are long but the years are short”…how true!!! I’ll have to remember that. The kids look like they are having a great time.

What a true blessing! I have stayed at home for almost 4 years and it truly is the hardest job I have ever had. It is wonderful to hang out in your PJ’s in the morning and to have conversations about nothing. There are days when playing princess gets old, and sending kids to timeout wears you out but it is a true blessing to be able to raise your own kids. The one thing that a tell myself daily is “to just let them in” Let them in to your world. Let them help you do things even if it will take you longer, let them help you be a better mom, just “let them in”. I love reading about your family and I hope you are all going well. Your two little girls and your little man are so cute and handsom. Take care!

Great post, Katie! I’m glad staying at home is working out so well for everyone!

Seeing Charlotte and Creighton next to each other in these photos I realize just how alike they look. They both have such kissable cheeks! 🙂
